That is the million dollar question! Why choose me as your photographer?
Well, to me you aren't just a number. I make sure to contact you back instantly maintaining good communication through out working/celebrating with you! There is nothing worse then trying to plan for a big event or even a small milestone and a photographer takes weeks or days to get back to you. I understand some have lives and need a work life/balance. I get it, but responding to a message takes such little time to do even if you are "out of the office".
I send questionnaires out to all my brides and a customized welcome packet to include all kinds of information so you're not left guessing on whats next. I'm the most easy going, and flexible person to work with and many can attest to that. You're taken care of when you are a bride or even a client that chooses me. It is not only the photos, but even the experienece you get when booking with me.
Experience MATTERS!
When you enjoy the person taking your photos and you're having a great experience that shows through the photos....One thing I've learned very quickly is photos don't LIE. If you're not having a good time...it will show. If you are having a good time...it will show. Photos show emotion and whenever you look back at these special moments you want to remeber your experience.
I could sit here and go on about why you should choose me....but seems a bit egotistical.. and I'd like to think I'm anything, but that.
So I'll explain what you should look for in a photographer whether that be for a big event or a even a small one.
Find a photographer that you think would be a good fit for you!
It is important to find a photographer that you think you can work with well. This is a team effort! sure they are the professional, but you have to know sort of what you want out of your time with them...I mean you are the one paying for it after all.
Make sure their communication is there. I've seen horror stories of brides being ghosted by their vendors and it makes me sad to hear... so much goes into your day regaurdless of what you're getting photos of. Not to mention it puts a bad name out there for photographers that are nothing like that. There should be a high level of communication between the two of you.
Make sure you really like the photographers editing style! and the way they take photos. You're paying for all of that.
I know its easy to want to just "go with the flow" and not seem too pushy, but make sure you commuicate what you want out of these photos, so you aren't left with photos you dislike or that are no where near what you envisioned.
Understand photographers can only do so much. Some photographers photoshop, other don't, some use natural lighting only other may use external light.
I can't stress enough how important it is to take the time and really do your research on which photographer you're going to choose for any occasion!
