Each & Every wedding is different in its own way!
Which is the most beautiful thing there is! (unique, different, special), So it's up to you to decide what is important to be photographed through out your day. That can also help you decide how long you really need your photographer at your wedding. If all of it is important and you don't want a single thing missed an want to assure you have enough time to get all the photos then 8-8+ hour is a package you want to be looking for. If only key events are something that is important, but photography isn't at the top of your priorty list you're going to want to be looking around the 4-6 hour packages that wedding photographers have to offer.
Here I have a basic shot list that could help you figure out what is important to you and think of things you want photographed that you may not have previously.

Conclusion
Like I had mentioned every wedding is different in its own way which makes it so special and unique!
Some of these events might not even be taking place at some weddings you are photographing or the wedding you are having.
I can't stress the family list enough because most questionairres just don't help during the day when you don't know who is who so a list with names and what combinations is a huge help to asure everything goes smoothly for you and your photographer.
