Communication is HUGE especially when planning a wedding.
Make sure to always communicate with your vendors about what you expect and what you need/want from them. You paid them to help make your day special. It is important to really be specific about your visions, ideas. Yes, they are the professional, but so many times I have heard people say " Doesn't matter to me! you're the professional" which is flattering and all, but the person ended up wanting things differently.
Moral of the story
What I am trying to say here is I absolutely think you should trust your vendors!! You picked them for a reason, but it still is a team effort and in order for things to go smoothly and for you to love the finished product it is important to have that communication on both ends of whats expected.
Examples that help: Music lists, Songs not wanted, Pinterest boards, zoom calls, phone calls, etc.
